Reptiles; snakes, lizards and tortoises are just some of the most popular pets that UK animal lovers have adopted over the past 20 years nation wide. In years gone by if someone in the UK owned one of these animals it would have most likely been taken from the wild, housed in poor conditions and fed the wrong food stuffs; indeed a quick trawl of the internet will throw up shocking pictures of emaciated snakes and tortoises with pyramiding shells.

Today strict laws are in place to stop this from happening and where once you could walk in to any high street pet shop and purchase a tortoise from the bunch crammed in the store window, you now can only buy from a reputable breeder who must supply registration documents. Radiators are a blessing and a curse; maybe not a curse but for the interior designer they are, an industrial hulk of iron strewn across the wall can compromise any thought out interior space. Of course we need the blighters to keep us warm in the winter months so what is to be done.

Radiator Covers come in all shapes and sizes to suit but if you want something specific you might consider something bespoke. You can outline your requirements so that your radiator covers are unique in size, shape, colour and detail all tailored to your needs.

Aviary Accessories design and build all types of bird housing as well as a huge range of other animal housing. We make rabbit hutches that can also be used for guinea pigs and ferrets. If you have an animal that needs their own place, we can build it for you, we have even made housing for rats.

Rabbit hutches can be made to order, like most of our products in to any shape or size and can include different levels and rooms depending on your preference. All our hutches and runs are made of sturdy material and are easily moved around your garden. All our runs and hutches are treated with a perfectly safe coloured preservative. We also do a choice of any of the five colours which are scattered around on this web site.

The 48 inch Up and Down rabbit hutch allows your rabbit to move between two floors giving it more room when indoors. The roofs are hinged and so cleaning is easy and it is also a solid felt roof which means it impenetrable by rain. We also do standard economy rabbit hutches which combine a run compartment and a hinged door so that cleaning is easy. This model is easy to move around so you can put it anywhere in your garden you wish.

Dog Kennels

Out door housing for your dog does not have to cost the earth and it also doesn't have to be a cold dark and desolate tomb your dog will hate to spend the night in. If you have big dogs and a normal sized house space and be an issue especially if your pet or pets are full of energy; it is more than likely that night times can be a squeeze if they insist on following you to bed. A kennel is the simple answer.

We predominantly design and build a wide range of dog kennels which are suitable for most breeds which you can see on this website; most featured kennels carry an online price and full dimensions are also listed. However, if you know what you want or need something to fit a particular space a bespoke kennel can be designed to suit. All of the made to measure kennels can be manufactured to your specifications to include literally anything you wish, if you are not sure we can offer some tips and suggestions on what we know works well.

All our kennels are made to be cosy in the sleeping quarters and light and airy in the run should you add one. Our have great customer feed back on our accommodation of dogs and cats with customers reporting back that their pets settle in quickly and any protest is short lived and incidental. We feel that kennels are a healthy option for dogs, allowing them to live in a natural environment which is innate to the dog.

Catteries

There are so many factors that you should consider when looking in to accommodation for your cats for when you are away from home on business or holiday. Like many cat owners and lovers you will be very apprehensive about leaving your pet in the care of someone else who you and your cat doesn't know but catteries are safe and professional.

When choosing between catteries you should make sure that they have the separate enclosed sleeping areas with their own exercise run, and only cats from the same household should be allowed to room together. In the past some catteries allowed cats to mingle but this increases the chance of infection, and not all cats will get on and fur might fly. You don't want your cat to come into contact with other cats and so make sure that there is a gap between units in the cattery's accommodation and check for what is known as a sneeze barrier for obvious reasons. Other things to look out for are scratch posts and toys to entertain your feline friend.

When talking with the catteries proprietor let them ask you questions, by letting them do the talking you will be able gage how professional they are. You should be looking out for them asking questions like the cats age, sex and breed plus information about medical history and any special requirements.

Nest Boxes and accessories

Aviary Accessories specialise in manufacturing quality nest boxes and accessories. On this site we show a small selection of standard nest boxes to give you an idea of what we are talking about and to give you some ideas about what can be done; we generally make bespoke pieces for our customers as everyone usually wants something different. The standard models are shown complete with prices.

We have a variety of standard nest boxes and accessories including the tall parakeet nest, quail house and budgie box plus the lovebird nest which incorporates a crèche; this model can also be used for chipmunks. The majority of our nest boxes are made from 12mm material with exception of the Parrot boxes which are 18mm. For efficiency we make all of the lids flat and completely removable, this allows for easy access and allows for a multitude of accessories to be used in conjunction with the nest boxes.

For your nest boxes we have a great range of accessories including chews and dumbbells, ladders and swing perches plus play frames.
